. this is a self produced search engine it isn't linked to any other search engines, it think the search engines main purpose is to help look for important news and you can also look at videos and books from amazon.
. one special feature on A9 is that when you search for a certain topic it also shows you different types of books you can buy having to do with that topic. another feature is that you can have as many search tab up on the same website as you need so you can look up numerous things. you can't really narrow your search using this search engine.

2.)Ask
. this website is produced by Lac search and media, and i think this search engine's main purpose is to find out the answers to questions that you need answers to or just need to know about.
. one of the special features on ask is that you can check the weather, and another thing is that it has an encyclopdia.

3.)Clusty
. this website is produced by vivisimo inc. and i think this search engines main purpose is so group and gather things to gether and get the best information to do with your topic.
. a special feature on here is that you can look for jobs and also you can blog on there.

4.) Exalead
. this is a self produced search engine , and i think the main purpose is to search for things for a reasearch paper.
. one special feature on exalead is that you can narrow your searches down by a lot to help you more on reasearching. and another thing is that you can leave comments about the webpage to tell them if you like it or dont.

5.)Grokker
. this search engine is a self prodeuced search engine as well. i think its main purpose is buissnes.
. a special feature i found on here was wikipidia and you can also look up amazon books just like a9.

6.)intute
. this search engine is i belive self produced, and i think its main purpose is to search up basic needs.
. there wasnt a whole lot of cool things on this search engine, or atleast anything i would like.

7.) and last seacrhmash
. this is a self produced search engine as well. and its purpose is to search under different topics or words.
. this search engine is just like the rest of them. has all or most of the same features.

- i think that all these search engines are very simular just some are more high tech than others, but i still belive that google is the best search engine out there. its finds everything real well and its easy to use.
