1. Name 2 key characteristics of Web 2.0, and how these developments impact information seeking.

. one of the features that i found really cool is that they all have Rss feeds and you can hear certain things about the websites. this devolps searching through the internet , it searches through many different topics even when you just type in one word.. and you can find so many different things.

2.Name two web sites you commonly use (not MySpace) and explain why (or why not) they can be classified as Web 2.0.

. one website i use is sherdog.com and it can be classified as a web 2.o because it isnt a main search engine. its a website the has a direct location, where as another website i use a lot is yahoo, it wouldnt be classifed as a web 2.0 because its a main search engine. you tube classifies as well.

i searched for many different things , the first one i found was Ufc i subscribed to that because i enjoy watching it and its something i take an interest to. oh yeah i also added rolling stone to my Google reader because i enjoy reading about music i love music. that is also why i subscribed to MTV, i love reading about all the new music and the shows they show on MTV. its all so exciting...... to find all these feeds i typed in ufc, and then i typed in music and all these things came up and you chose which one you want. its really simple, and its also really fun. you can read about almost anything you want just by using RSS feeds.

1.) it would be some what confusing to explain to a friend. i would tell them to go to google.com/reader, then from there just tell them to start subscribing. they choose any topic of their choice, all they would have to do is type it in the box and add it to their google reader. for further refernces.

2.) i would use rss feeds on many ocausions. at home i could use them to read through when i get board, and with school if i ever need any refernces or articles i could definitly use them for that... i could show all my friend because im sure they never even heard of it. i could also use them for references if i needed to know any information about a topic i need help with.

1.)i think the library is arranged that way so we know which part of the library to search, for which books you would need. if i was designing a library i would keep it the way that it is, all the reference books in one place. the rest where they are arranged now.

2.) the most useful part of the library is the computer areas, you can do your homework there as well as search on the Internet for certain things. you can basically use the computer area for anything.

3.) the most convenient bathroom (well, that i think) is the one to the right right when you walk in the front entry.its right there when you walk in , and i think that's pretty cool.

4.) if i wanted to take a nap i would go straight to the back and use one of the table back there. its really quiet and its nice and warm to sleep there before you need to go to a class....

5.)i don't know of any good views from the library. i just think its a nice place to go to do some homework, and take quick naps... heh...

Hello. my name is Danielle Smtih. i live at home and my major is nursing. i like watching Ufc and i take kickboxing classes. it keeps me busy and i also have fun doing it. i work at hallmark part time, its kinda boring, heh. i love hanging out with my friends, just relaxing. i have 7 piercings and 1 tattoo(hopefully i can get more heh). i just like having fun anywhere i am. Anyways i hope to learn how to find certain books in a library and learn how to do better reasearch.hopefully you can guide me while i try to find certain books. also to figure out if i have the right type of book for a reasearch paper. and i hope that being in this class i can learn how to do better reasearch papers, and do better studies in the library.
